Estate planning practices in Australia and Singapore
November 30, 2021 @ 5:25 pm AEDT$120 – $185
Research into estate planning and the factors that impact estate planning decisions is relatively limited in both Australia and Singapore. The research that has been done has tended to focus on whether people have an up-to-date will or other estate planning documents.
Estate planning practices in Australia and Singapore is an online Zoom webinar exploring the findings of new research into how issues such as trusts, digital assets and professional advice impact on estate planning decisions. Results indicate a high proportion of adults lack up to date Wills, only a small proportion have powers of attorney and few parents have guardianship plans in place. Further, the majority of adults who had a Will had not discussed its contents with their immediate families.
Who should attend
Legal practitioners, accountants and financial advisers advising clients on estate planning both in Australia and Singapore.
What will you learn
This event will discuss the implications of the research findings for clients and their advisors. Attendees will gain an insight into considerations to be made when structuring estate plans, particularly with respect to factors that impact estate planning decisions in Australia and Singapore.
